Ricardo graduated from Economics and Accounting at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM), one of the most prestigious academic institutions in Mexico, Ricardo earned a Master in Business Administration at the University of Chicago.
He holds 20 years of solid consulting and industry experience, with a focus on transportation, financial institutions, retail and manufacturing industries.
He has engaged in consulting and industry related activities with clear focus on transportation, Airlines, Ports, Airports and Rail as well as Strategy, Logistics, Infrastructure and Finance. His experience comes from working for leading consulting firms such as McKinsey & Co. and AT Kearney as well as a major Mexican airline holding group – Cintra (Mexico Airline holding).
In 2001 he joined AT Kearney Mexico and for the past 14 years Ricardo has been involved in consulting projects focus on strategic and organizational studies in the banking and airline sector in turnaround situations. He has also participated in the privatization process of the banking sector, airlines, ports and airports. Likewise, Ricardo led a study to identify initiatives to improve Mexico’s competitiveness in the transportation sector.
He has been involved in several consulting projects within the transport and logistic industry where he developed a pricing strategy for a major Mexican rail company; defined the export attractiveness of industrial sector in the Mexican economy as well as performed Mexico logistics market assessment for an international logistics company.
Previously he served as Director of Network Strategy at Cintra (airlines Mexican holding company) where he developed a strategic vision of the market, developed policies and strategies for revenue management and determined the strategic and economic value of partnerships.
